Linda “mom” Soter came to visit over Thanksgiving and stayed here with me in my cozy one-bedroom apartment. I owe a great deal to her; she’s a great storyteller, she easily approaches folks and is very good with people. The above photo should reveal that she has a sense of humor that says, “I’ll go along with that.” Now you see where it comes from. I’m lucky.

A quick note for the start of the new year, if you haven’t seen me, heard from me or if you missed me at a holiday party it’s because I have been laid out flat. Bronchitis stole my entire December and as of this week I’m finally finishing up the last of three different antibiotics that I had tried.
On a side note, I’m considering doing an open-mike night where I will just read online postings of side effects testimonies for the antibiotics that I’ve taken. Comments like “last night had a major meltdown and cried into the bathroom towels” or “I haven’t slept in 2 days and last night I heard Christmas music, let it snow, let it snow over and over in my head. No music was playing” are not uncommon. I was luckier than that, just extremely fatigued and congested.
Point being, you’ll see a lot more of me in the coming weeks.
Love,
Tim
